Danone is a leading global food company built on three business lines: Essential Dairy and Plant-Based Products, Waters, and Specialised Nutrition. Through its mission and dual commitment to business success and social progress, the company aims to inspire healthier and more sustainable eating and drinking practices, in line with our vision – One Planet. One Health.

Headquartered in Paris, Danone is present in over 120 countries, where it commits to build a healthier future, for all its stakeholders—its 100,000 employees, consumers, customers, suppliers, shareholders and all the communities with which it engages. Danone’s approach to business, historically defined as the Dual Project, enables the company to create both shareholder and societal value. This is reflected in our ambition to encourage our subsidiaries to be B CorpTM certified companies.

Danone started its business in Indonesia in 1998 by signing a strategic alliance with company that owns AQUA – an Indonesian brand of bottled water launched in 1973. With this partnership, the brand strengthened its market position becoming the largest producer of bottled mineral water in Indonesia. In addition to its water business, Danone established its Early Life Nutrition Division in Indonesia in 2008, with the acquisition of Royal Numico NV which owned PT Sari Husada and PT Nutricia Indonesia Sejahtera – local leading players in nutrition industry. Currently Danone Indonesia has more than 14,000 employees, serving more than 1.5 million outlets and 24 factories nationwide. In Indonesia, we are represented by two business lines, namely: Waters and Specialized Nutrition, with iconic brands such as AQUA; VIT; VIT Levite; Mizone; SGM Eksplor; Bebelac; and Nutrilon Royal.

At Danone in Indonesia; our employees share the same values of HOPE (Humanism; Openness; Proximity and Enthusiasm) that underlie our unique company culture and identity. We bring those four values into life with CODES (Creates a meaningful future; Opens connections inside and outside; Drives for sustainable results; Empowers self and diverse teams; Self aware). CODES is our leadership framework which describes the expected leadership competencies for each Danoner to develop; act together and realize Danone’s ambition. Based on the framework; we focus on five leadership behavioral competencies, namely: Human Centric; Inclusive and Collaborative; Agile; Accountable and Decisive; Courageous with Empathy – to support our transformation; unleash business opportunities and move faster to be future ready.

People have always been at the center of our corporate strategy. Our conviction is that developing people; leveraging their talents and respecting their differences make Danone a sustainably high performing company. Danone is a company where diverse people grow. Danone focuses on the development and progression of its local and regional talents. Currently we have 15 Danone Indonesia employees on expatriation and many more on international assignment. Various programs are available to boost Danone employees’ career through international assignment and projects. Each employee is encouraged to shape their career path by alternating between the various functions; contexts and cultures. Mobility is decided by mutual agreement with the employee; taking into account their personal situation; their aspirations in terms of career progression and the needs of the organization.

We invest substantially on providing comprehensive local and overseas training for our employees. In Indonesia; we have the Danone Academy Indonesia which implements programs that enable employees to develop both in their professional and personal life. As an agile organization; we have Danone Academy 2.0 platform; where Danoners can access learning 24/7 at their fingertip. All the development programs and platforms are designed to reach the target we set: 80% of our vacant positions should be filled internally.

At Danone, we work with these principles:

Health mission: Our mission is to bring health to Indonesians at all stages of their life.

Dual project: We believe success is not just about business results; but also, contribution to social progress. Danone’s dual project; combining commitment to business with concern for people and the planet; has been the foundation of our way in doing business.

An empowering and open leadership style: Danone is a company for people who want to make a difference. We welcome different ideas and ways to achieve our goals. You will have the necessary autonomy and flexibility to work at your best and implement your ideas and initiatives.

You will find an informal management style that promotes close relationships between employees. The casual and friendly environment fosters a proximity mindset where you can easily discuss and network with all Danoners, irrespective of their positions in the company. People who are working with us come from diverse backgrounds; ages; and gender. Beyond diversity, we strive on inclusion, recognizing the uniqueness of each employee and valorizing the added value that these differences all together bring to Danone.

To be productive at work; we believe that office environment should be designed to facilitate our employees to have ample opportunities to connect with each other. At our Dan Lounge; cozy sofas and entertainment corner help us to unwind and be refreshed. Healthy food is provided to encourage healthy eating habits.

Sports clubs are organized where employees can choose different sport activities according to their interest. Every two years, Danone Group organizes Danoner World Cup, where we send Danone employees from different countries to a worldwide football tournament.

We also provide free child care facilities for our working parents during the festive period to support parents in their parenting role.
