GMA PROGRAM – INTERCOMPANY ROTATION, CULTIVATING INTERDISCIPLINARY GMAs
The goal of Cathay FHC’s GMA Program (Group/Global Management Associate) is to cultivate strategic talent with executive perspectives and interdisciplinary thinking. Over the course of a 2.5-year rotation process, GMAs not only participate in important projects of the group, but also learn about different types of business operation. During the job rotation process, senior executives serve as mentors and GMAs are assigned a counselor by their current department. GMAs gain important abilities and experience through customer analysis, strategic planning, and front line participation in the training process, and formulate strategies at the FHC-level to fully utilize resources in the group.

ADAPTIVE LEARNING, A WIN-WIN-WIN TRAINING MECHANISM
Cathay FHC provides carefully planned trainings. We engage in joint training programs with MIT (Sloan Fellows Program) in the U.S., the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy in Singapore, and EMBA programs of Peking University in China, etc. Outstanding employees are able to attend international management colleges for short-term study with all expenses fully subsidized, allowing them to gain new management knowledge and engage in international exchange. Moreover, any self-motivated learners can choose the MIT online courses without the limitation of time and space.

Internally, we provide employees and managers with suitable courses based on their individual career development requirements so as to help them successfully improve work efficiency and leadership. Cathay FHC offers over 50 courses and lectures covering all aspects each year to every employee who has over 10 learning hours.

FOCUSING ON PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH DEVELOPMENT, ACHIEVING WORK-LIFE BALANCE
Cathay cares about the physical and mental well-being of employees, A series of sport, de-stress projects were actively organized to encourage employees to manage their health, 3 major events are the weight loss contest, Cathay Walker, and Cathay Run.

In order to support employees in child-bearing age, Cathay implemented the Maternity Healthcare Protection Program to help female employees’ needs in different stages, from pregnancy to after the child-birth by providing benefits and encouraging employees and their families to participate in events, such as Parent-Child Day, Nighttime Power Walking, Family Day, etc. We believe that families are the best support for our employees; Cathay is rooting for every family.
