The inaugural Singapore Business Federation & American Express Singapore Business and Financial Strategy Survey 2014 has revealed that Singapore enterprises are considering going regional and increasing their productivity to overcome domestic challenges. These challenges have arisen from escalating business costs and manpower issues that persist for local enterprises. Many enterprises are looking to increase their operations internationally, particularly into emerging markets in ASEAN. According to the report, small, mid-sized and large enterprises appear to be responding favourably to the Government’s call for productivity-led growth, and have adopted rigorous cost management strategies to meet their financing needs.
