After letting go a number of their staff and delisting the airline, Khazanah now has a foreign set to head Malaysia Airlines (MAS) as its chief executive officer. The candidate is among three shortlisted, and has experience working in the airline industry. To cut costs, MAS is also looking to hire another five or six key personnel knowledgeable in certain areas of the industry such as engineering. This is the first time a foreigner will be heading the national carrier.
